Railways going nowhere

Another important part of the infrastructure of the county has collapsed due to mismanagement and corruption. The Pakistan Railways has all but virtually folded.

Nobody is actually affected other than the lower middle class, as the affluent can easily avail flights and buses themselves. It seems nobody is bothered even to find out what went wrong with this important, money-generating state institution. In the entire world, railways are used to make profits whereas in our country it is in perpetual loss. The goods train are a prime means of earning revenue elsewhere in the world, whereas in our country these trains are also in loss.

I think we need honest people to emerge and clean the rot. Here’s to hoping that the Government of Pakistan would look into this serious issue as developing the railways is an integral part of developing the economy.
