LDA is geared to launch a mega crackdown on all sorts of encroachments on residential and commercial plots in its housing schemes in the coming days.
Director General Lahore Development Authority, Ahad Khan Cheema, has asked for a comprehensive report regarding all kinds of encroachments on LDA plots and properties, situated in various housing schemes, within three days. The matter would then be taken up with the Punjab Government for formulating a further course of action, keeping in view the nature of encroachments and illegal possessions involved.
He passed on these directives while chairing a meeting to review the functions and responsibilities of the housing wing of LDA, here, on Monday. He called upon the LDA officers for protecting the precious properties of LDA at all costs.
He directed for immediately initiating a joint exercise by taking on board all the Directors of Land Development, Estate Management, Town Planning Wing and Land Acquisition Collectors in order to reconcile the data of their respective directorates with one another for obtaining up-to-date and exact number of plots available in housing schemes.
He further directed all the directors and officers in charge of the respective wings to ensure timely submissions of meaningful and constructive comments along with supporting documents for pursuing legal cases in the courts.
