Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has congratulated newly elected President of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) Sarmad Ali.
In a facilitation message, the Prime Minister also congratulated newly elected General Secretary Masood Hamid and the Executive Committee of the APNS. Gilani said the government believes in independence and freedom of media and never imposed any restriction on the media.
He said APNS is an important organization for the promotion and protection of journalism, and assured that the government will support APNS and to ensure all facilities to the journalist community.
Gilani also hoped that the newly elected office bearers of the APNS would work hard to address the issues of journalist community.
