Pakistan has at last clinched the Asia Cup trophy. Thanks to some fine batting by wicket keeper batsman Sarfraz Ahmad. He is an excellent all-rounder. He has cemented his place in the team. Another hero was Aizaz Cheema, the pace-bowler, who restricted Bengladesh in the last over. The match ended with the last delivery. Seven runs were conceded in that particular over. It was a cliff-hanger and resulted in Pakistan’s victory by mere two runs.

The crowning glory belongs to the whole team. Shahid Afridi contributed with the bat and ball, and was declared the man-of-the-match, deservingly so.

All praise to Bengal Tigers for their fine effort and resilience as a team. A great disappoint in the end, just short of two runs. But they should take heart in coming so close to victory. Their bowling, batting and fielding was superb. Shakib and Tamim Iqbal did well as well as Mushrafe Murtaza.

Aizaz pulled out the magic ball to stun the crowd. It was a huge relief for Pakistani supporters all over the world. Bangladesh proved to be a worthy contestant during the whole tournament. They have proved their mettle and have become a force to be reckoned with. They were just unlucky.
