Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan has claimed that his party would halve the corruption in the country within nine days of coming to power.
According to a private TV channel, Khan told reporters that the demands for a “PTI Children’s Wing” were growing, making a case for the formation of one. To a question, he said, “Whether the party survives or not, we will elect all the office bearers for all positions through vote,” adding that there would be no direct appointments.
He said in Sunday’s meeting, the party had settled all the “differences” and now was rift-free. Khan also revealed that the details of the members’ assets would be posted on the party’s website.
He once again condemned the leading political parties of the country for their silent agreements in looting the country’s wealth. “Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif are one, they are on board the Samhjota Express,” said he. The PTI chief downplayed the effectiveness of parliamentary recommendations over restoration of NATO supply lines and announced that PTI would not become part of the ruling-opposition alliance over the issue.
He also renewed his pledge for leaving the NATO and US war on terror as the country had sacrificed 40,000 people with a whopping loss of $70 billion. He reiterated his resolve to bring in the local body system. Thana and Patwari system would be abolished, only merit would prevail on all appointments, he added.
“The PTI is a democratic party and it will choose its own leaders through party elections,” he said, adding, “Those who considered departure of Shuja Pasha the end of the tsunami must see the PTI rallies in South Punjab, Sialkot and Mianwali.” Terming the campaign as the largest ever membership drive by any political party, Imran said that it would run for two months, followed by party elections. The CEC of the PTI also unanimously approved the constitution of party. Ibrarul Haq was nominated the president of the Youth Wing. PTI President Javed Hashmi, Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Information Secretary Shafqat Mehmood and Secretary General Dr Arif Alvi and other party leaders were present.

  1. His delusions of grandeur have literally driven him mad. His drivel is getting worse by the day.

  2. He is very unrealistic in his promises and it appears he did not think through before speaking. He has no plan and only talks against others. No team, no agenda but still revolution:)

  3. The public have NOTHING to lose. They can choose Imran and opt for change or carry on with the same old. In his favour are 2 major arguments. One is that he has not yet been tried and tested like the others have. And two that he does not live at the expense of the taxpayer, whoever that may be.

  4. No No NOOOOOOO it was NOT slip of tongue BUT he sarcastically said that why 90 days why NOT 9 days.. if any one watch that TV TALK SHOW (2 of them in which he said 9 instead of 90 days)… actually the host of the show (one of them Asma Shirazi and then Hamid Mir) joking asked about the 90 days term and he said why not 9 days..

even an illiterate would understand that Khan sahib is NOT talking about the 50 ruppes police wala or traffic wala corruption at the moment. he is talking about the billions and billions of Aid-money or organizational money that is being looted by the politicians and beurocrates and genrals etc. he is talking about installing a neat and clean cabinet and prime minister on top of all this… simple as that.. he is talking about THE BIG CORRUPTION in the country…
