All martyrs of Punjab Police, who have sacrificed their lives while combating with terrorists and criminals, will live forever in our hearts, said Inspector General of Punjab Police while talking to participants of a special ceremony held at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh in honour of the families of Punjab Police’s martyrs on Friday.
Around 243 families of the martyrs attended the ceremony which was organized by the top cops of Lahore Police after marking ‘Pakistan Day’ as Youme Shuhda
IG Punjab Haji Habib ur Rehman, who was a chief guest at the said ceremony, during the ceremony, distributed cash prizes worth Rs 17 million and suits and sweets among the heirs of martyrs, who lost their lives while combating with terrorists and hardened criminals during last passed five years.
The IGP said that many proposals for the welfare of the families of the martyrs are under consideration. He said that the Punjab police has already finalized and started acting upon a suggestion to give job two the two sons or brothers of the martyrs in Punjab Police. He said that they were trying to provide latest technologies for the training of under training cops so that they could secure lives and properties of masses using latest training. He said that
Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ahmed Raza Tahir while talking to participants said that they have installed biometric attendance system at Police Lines Qilla Gujjar Singh. He said that they were also working to developed new auditorium, library, cultural and literary Society and conference hall and a new hospital at Police Lines to provide flourishing and safe environment to the under training cops.
