Students and education community condemned the BISE administration on its management as BISE authorities allocated a male examination centre to a female candidate in the recently started class 9 examination. Students said Punjab government had performed badly in last year’s examinations but still government could not streamline the BISE affairs and according to them the results would be incorrect too since the BISE had not been fixed. Situation became very serious at BISE Lawrence Road centre where students were angry due to the mismanagement of BISE. According to sources, a female candidate was allotted a male centre and a junior clerk was blamed for the incident. According to sources, when a female candidate, Ammal Ashfaq bearing Roll No569364, was allotted a seat in 49-A (a male centre), BISE chairman terminated the services of Faryad Dogar, a junior Clerk. Ammal was shifted to Garrison Girls High School. Meanwhile, Biology/Computer Science paper (9th Class) Examination, 2012 conducted in all the 827 examination centres established within the jurisdiction of Lahore Board under strict invigilation. The candidates who are appearing in Biology paper at Examination Centres, Govt. Model Girls H/S Gulberg and Govt. Girls H/S Awan Town, Lahore by mistakenly solved their old pattern papers instead of new pattern. Those candidates who committed this mistake were directed to submit their applications for redressal of grievance to the Controller of Examinations, BISE till 26-03-2012. Dr Allah Bakhsh Malik ensured the candidates as well as their parents that their applications would be treated on top priority basis under the Board’s Rules. Moreover, the controller was also directed to submit a comprehensive report in this regard.
