There was a new twist in the tale of Rinkle Kumari alias Bibi Faryal Shah on Sunday as the young woman, whose relatives claim she was abducted and forced to convert to Islam from Hinduism before her marriage to a Muslim man, said at a press conference that she never met her husband Naveed Shah before her conversion.
Previously, Kumari had said on several occasions that she loved Shah and that is why she married him.
Kumari is to be produced before the Sindh High Court on Monday (today) in the case of her alleged kidnapping.
However, she and her husband addressed a press conference at the Karachi Press Club, where a large number of supporters of the Pirs of Bharchundi Sharif were also present.
Kumari said she was inspired by the teachings of Islam that she came to know about through her friends and television programmes and she converted after understanding the religion. But now, she claimed, her parents were forcing her to become a Hindu again.
During the press conference, the young woman from Mirpur Mathelo in Ghotki district was bombarded with questions by reporters and she was not able to name any Islamic book she had read so far.
Replying to a query, Kumari said she was moved by verses from Surah Ikhlas in the Holy Quran, but when she was asked to recite them along with their translation, she remained silent.
Kumari said that after her conversion, she called up the Pirs of Bharchundi and asked them to support her. When asked how she obtained their telephone number, she said one of her friends gave it to her.
She said she did not know Shah before her conversion but her parents have claimed in an FIR that he kidnapped her with the help of his friends.
“I am now married to Naveed and I will request the court to send me with my husband instead of sending me to a shelter home,” she said.
After the press conference ended, many reporters wanted to talk to her separately, but she was immediately taken to a car that was escorted by a police van.

Our life in Pakistan is not totally ruined. We are very happy with our life. Only few worms like Mian Mithu are here which are soon expected to be destructed.
Muslim girls should also be allowed to marry non-Muslims freely, many that do that have to either run away from Pakistan or get killed.

Its really so hard to be secured in Pakistan specially Sindh. With the passage of time our Sindh is getting to be like Waziristan in Pakistan where there are all extremists. People in Sindh are very good and kind to humanity; either they may be Muslims or others but only Mulahs ( religious extremists) are trying to ruin our history and peace. Whereas the Judiciary of Pakistan is itself in prison and hopefully helpless to do anything because there is no rule and everything is haphazard, no one is professional. If army rule over the country then all these Mullahs will be ok. Because army knows the discipline.
@Chander, please read the following very carefully, I think our judiciary is well aware of these things and is knowingly supporting the people that kidnap Hindu and Christian girls by delaying the justice process.

A simple threat like "If you don't say publicly and convincingly that you are doing this of your own free will, we will kidnap your parents – just like we kidnapped you" will be quite sufficient to get the response she gave.
If I can see that my kidnappers are highly connected and are getting away with daylight robbery, I too would do whatever they want to protect my parents from danger.

Problems are in almost every part of the world and it does not mean that its solution is the murder of opponents. Mahatma Gautama said:
"Hatred is not ceased by hatred; hatred is always ceased by love; which is its nature."
And you are going to tell such a cruel way. We Hindus in Pakistan have a huge sympathy by our Muslim friends. We both love each other and live peacefully. I am thankful to Lord Almighty that I am born in Sindh where peace lies.

Despite of fundamentalism all around they still are practicing their religion; in a country where from the childhood (in the textbooks) it is taught that Hindus are Muslims worst enemies and that's why Pakistan was created at first place.

Doesn't it look too much fishy and foul that somebody at a sudden developed so much attraction towards ISLAM that she converted out of her own free will, and immediately decided to marry any Muslim man whom she never met or had any alleged love affair? How both of this things can happen together in all of the abducted Hindu girls of Pakistan so called "embracing Islam".
And if it was all out of free will why then there are so many gunmen from local mujaheddin/ terrorist groups accompanying the couple all the time.
