A relative of a Pakistan People’s Party leader and a minister was kidnapped by unidentified armed men from his home district of Nasirabad, some 400 KM south-east of Quetta, on Wednesday. Police said Nazimuddin Umrani, the cousin of Balochistan PPP President Mir Sadiq Umrani was on his way to his house with two farmers when armed men intercepted them and kidnapped Umrani. Police have registered a case against unidentified kidnappers while family members have said nobody had contacted them for ransom.
