Indeed, Islam does not discriminate employees on the basis of race, colour, sex or religion in developing their careers (Surah al-Hujuraat: 13). But discrimination in employment in various organisations, especially in the multinational and oil companies operating in Sindh, is a sad aspect of our society.
Discrimination is being practiced in various forms in this country of ours but there is none to contain or curb such evil instincts and devilish practices.
It pains me to point out that there are several federal organisations where provincial quota is being flagrantly violated. Similarly, there are also organisations where vacant seats of Sindh and Balochistan are not being advertised and filled.
This is, indeed, an act of injustice. Is there anyone in the corridors of power and politics to take notice of this injustice being meted out to the smaller provinces, in particular Sindh, where qualified and skilled youth are compelled to commit suicides out of despair and despondency?
