The emerging proposals of Seraiki and Hazara provinces ought to be supported as it would address the smouldering problems of these areas that have been ignored by Punjab and Khyber Pukhtunkhwa in their head strong policies.
A Godsend profitable outcome of the new provinces would be renegotiation of the 1991 Water Accord for fresh allocation of water to Seraiki province and allocation of royalty of Tarbela dam and the Bhasha dm for the Hazara province. This would set right the policies of KP leaders and of Lahori politicians in not supporting Kalabagh Dam to the loss of Pakistan.
Another positive feature is that D I Khan leaders would be prone to joining the Seraiki province to share the Kalabagh Dam waters which are denied at present due to the policies of ANP leaders and JUI. No surprise that the Deputy Chairman of National Assembly Mr Faisal Karim Kundi has announced to fight election against Moulana Fazal-ur-Rehman in the National Assembly.
