Global forces want remapping of region: Fazl

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl chief Fazlur Rehman has said that international forces were interested in the region to in order to change its map. “These forces that are seeking a remapping of the region succeeded in creating chaotic situation to set up a spiral of change, however, they are facing setbacks in their designs in this regard,” the JUI-F chief said in a media talk in Peshawar after the conclusion of party meeting at its provincial secretariat on Monday.
Fazl tied economic amelioration and betterment to the resolution of law and order in the country, maintaining that whatsoever untidiness was prevailing today in the shape of terrorism and other malaise were imposed on the country both by international forces and rulers themselves. The way out of the current imbroglio that was opted to address issues at hands was not corresponding to parliament’s resolution in this regard, Fazl said, adding that the result could be seen through terrorism and extremism.
He said the same conditions was prevailing in Balochistan, saying the incumbent rulers were telling that conditions in FATA were per the international agenda. “There is a need to dispel sense of slavery instead of only airing words like removal of deprivation of masses,” Fazl added.
To a question, the JUI-F chief said with the general elections approaching, new ranks would be drawn correspondently. “Our first priority is to rejuvenate the MMA and the Jamat-e-Islami should not be a stumping stone in this regard,” Fazl said. To another question, he said they wanted to unearth the killers of Benazir Bhutto. “But it is strange that on one hand the government wants to arrest Musharraf and on the other it continues with his policies,” he added.
