Congress on Balochistan

The Representatives from California has presented a resolution regarding Balochistan’s precarious condition and it has been passed by the US Congress. It asks for the independence of Balochistan from Pakistan on the basis of right of self rule. It is a clear violation of international law and UNO’s Charter. It is interference in our internal matters and must be strongly condemned.
America, being the superpower, does not have the right to interfere in other countries’ affairs. It must refrain from such activities. US Administration does not support this resolution and has denied any links with it. The nature of the resolution will further deteriorate relations between the two countries. The Congress should mind its own business and consider independence of its own 50 states. Some of them have a strong case for independence.
Pakistan has registered a strong protest against this move. The strategic partnership cannot continue in such circumstances. We must review and revisit our foreign policy and relations with the USA. We must not ignore such insulting behaviour.
America is our political and war ally. It is high time to take deliberate and strong stand on this issue. The Parliament needs to pass resolution condemning American Congress’s resolution. We are a sovereign nuclear state and can resolve our internal matters amicably. Balochistan is part and parcel of Pakistan and its stability is our major concern. Its defence is our responsibility and our armed forces are quite capable of defending its borders against any insurrection and interference. Due to its geographic location, it has a great position in the region.
