Illiteracy in Pakistan is a major root cause of many issues. According to a report, only 46 percent of Pakistan’s total population is educated, while the rest are uneducated.
Illiteracy is affecting the country’s economy badly. Foreign investors have pulled out their hands from buying shares in the stock market. Even, our own businessmen prefer to invest in other countries. Country’s currency value is falling down in international market. There is an inverse relation between illiteracy and economy of a country. When illiteracy is high, economy will automatically decrease and vice a versa.
Moreover, illiteracy is behind many crimes. When basic needs (food, shelter, clothing) of people are not fulfilled, they do not have anything but to hold a gun and start robbing others. They then do not feel any hesitation in shooting a person who refuses to give his belongings.
Therefore, I request the government to launch some favourable educational policies, especially for the children belonging to poor classes and to save the future of Pakistan.
