The changing face of PTI

A lot seems to have changed, in content and perhaps even in terms of objectives of Imran Khan and his Tehreek-e-Insaf. For a man who has always claimed to be an advocate for social justice, transparency and ethics, it is strange that he welcomes all sorts of opportunists, some with criminal records to his party. Is he not aware of a man from Lahore, involved in land mafia scams with connivance of Musharraf’s former DG Rangers Punjab, or the controversial Oxford educated former foreign minister and Zardari cabinet Chairman Planning Commission, whose rice export family concern was involved in heroin smuggling during BB’s second tenure?

This incident was reported in print media when instead of exporter, the local courier company manager was wrongly implicated by customs at Karachi and thereafter the matter was hushed up. Has he forgotten about the BBC documentary which implicated sons of a former president in illegal car smuggling of stolen vehicles across the Pak-Iran border? Can IK explain how it is kosher that the education business house cartel, who benefitted from dole-outs of railway and state land and championed US intervention in Afghanistan, Lal Masjid massacre and drone attacks in his capacity as Musharraf’s foreign minister has become clean when he switches over to his party?

Imran Khan wants to reopen Younus Habib funding of sensitive agencies involved three decades ago in aiding political parties, while he himself seems to be a beneficiary of big business and even same agencies. After all who is paying for all these chartered jets, bullet proof cars etc? The PTI today seems to be a party dominated by all those who have few things in common, like switching political parties at convenience and calls for Seraiki province. Is this party becoming an ethnic nationalist party that has become friendly with another such party based in Urban Sindh, which Imran till few months ago defined as a fascist terrorist mafia?

  1. Keep crying dude but after the SC is done with the AM Asghar Khan case will at least end the days of the Sharif royal family Ltd and stop generals from influencing the next elections

  2. 3 months ago this piece of writing would've been taken seriously. But so much time has passed and so many clarifications have come out that the writer seems to be stuck in the past.

No doubt that fingers have been pointed at these people, but the fact remains that after passage of so many years all have proven wrong one by one.

And rightly said, the Supreme Court is hearing the Asghar Khan case in three days' time. I guess the everyone will finally come to know whether the private jets and bullet proof cars were personally funded by a few patriots or by the meddling agencies themselves. Time for the truth has come. So let it be.

  3. See what happen in by elections? Gilani son win, Doltana win, Mirza win. What a shame of power politics. I ask first you correct this system because PTI "High Moral" worker cannot fight with them therefore, PTI need some influencials. Those who criticizing PTI will forget PTI, if PTI lost. People only give importance to those who win. See how media give importance to MQM, why dont you by cott if you are so high moral people.

  4. Political parties always have open doors policies but all the questions rasied in the articles should be rasied when the actual tickets are issued.
Also no alliances have been made with any party. So all these are premature objections which seems to be failed attempts to create doubts among masses.

  5. The PTI Brigade does not like it when they are shown the mirror. From heroin smugglers, to land grabberrs and Mush terror squad, to target killers of MQM, all become kosher if they join the party with new installed dry cleaning plant.

    • Hohohohohohohoho I can not stop crying when I think about you. Damn it just report it to the PTI and they will look into your probes and won't issue Them tickets. I support PTI as so many others do, how can someone stop me or anyone else supporting them. You silly idiot come back and right again if they give tickets to someone lke that. The type of people you are talking about are opportunists and Imran Khan has already said about them that they will not last for too long. So relax my baby you have already seen someone from non named Rasheed has come and gone so they will be gone very soon and we don't need them either if they are not there for Pakistan and rather joining PTI for themselves. Next time think twice before start mourning. Please stop crying now

  6. Ask the TCS if you dont believe the heroin packed in rice packets that were to be exported by this company whose owners hail from Qasur.

  7. My question is very simple , how many of them have been given ticket ???? nothing has been done yet but objections are being raised . . .

  8. Hohohohohohohoho I stop crying when I think about you. Damn it just report it to the PTI and they will look into your probes and won't issue I'm ticket. 9. I am surprised by how detached and remote the author Mr. Gull Zaman is from reality. PTI leadership has time and again categorically stated that tickets will only be alloted on merit but certainly all and sundry are welcome to join the party. I am not sure if critics are raising the issue of new members coming to party out of frustration which is born of sincerity or ulterior motives.
