A man was arrested for forcing relatives of missing persons to call off their strike at Red Zone, police said. Dozens of relatives of missing persons have been living in the protest camp set up in front of the Parliament for the last several days to force the authorities concerned to recover their beloved ones. The camp was set up by Defence of Human Rights (DHR). On Wednesday, DHR Coordinator Asif Mahmood lodged an application with the Secretariat police, alleging a man who introduced himself as an ISI agent was forcing them to close their camp.
In his application, Asif told the police that the man twice visited the protest camp and asked DHR Chairperson Amna Masood Janjuo for negations. “He introduced himself as Shoibullah Cheema and offered Amna to strike a deal. He said that if relatives of missing persons called off their strike, he would arrange her meeting with the ISI officials,” Asif Mahmood stated in application. On this, Secretariat police registered an FIR against Shoib Ullah Cheema under Section 506/419/170 and arrested him. He is said to be a retired army officer.
A person introducing himself as isi personnel? if this is a joke then its not very funny. No intelligence agency expose their personnel in public. And any one who want to defame the agency can do such a stunt.
