The AJKPSC is going to conduct the competitive examination against the post of ACs and Tehsildars in some months. According to authorities concerned there is a problem of examination centres being available in Muzaffarabad, capital of AJK. This examination consists of around ten papers which require the centre to be available for at least five days, two papers each day. But the Commission takes one paper each day which not only wastes times but also brings myriad of problems. Some papers, with considerably less score weightage can be held on one day, in the morning and evening. It will save time of the candidates and the Commission. Moreover, the commission holds such exams in June or July which is not an appropriate weather-wise for the aspirants who hail from different parts of Pakistan. The following suggestions can be analysed and put to practice if found suitable:

1. March and April are the most appropriate months for the exam because after May there will are examinations of PMS, LLB etc in Punjab, Balochistan, KP and Sindh. It will be difficult for those candidates who belong to such areas. They would not have enough time for the preparation of their other exams.

2. If the centres are not available in Muzaffarabad, Islamabad or Mirpur can be good options for the exam. Islamabad and AJK’s matriculation exams do not take place in the same month. There will be many centres available after 10 March this year in Islamabad.

3. Two papers must be held on each day. It will save time as well as money of the candidates.

4. Many centres will be available after the CSS exam on 10 March.

5. Merit must be maintained at all levels, written as well as interview.

This is the voice of a number of candidates who want to take this exam in April and to be a part of bureaucracy of the justice denied territory, Kashmir. People have been struggling for justice here since 1947. If the govt maintains transparency, meritocracy and justice in recruitment to bring new talented blood in administration who have the courage to take a stand on the Kashmir issue in the national as well as international level, a change will be seen in a standstill environment.
