Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat ul Ibad khan and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah met Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani at Governor’s House, Karachi on Sunday and appreciated the stance taken by him rejecting US intervention in Balochistan.
The Governor also commended the enactment of 20th amendment adding that consultative process has become an essential component of Pakistani democratic politics which would strengthen democracy in the country.
The Prime Minister said that the amendment would strengthen the Election Commission of Pakistan which would ensure fair, free and impartial elections in the country to the extent that no one would question the credibility of the electoral process.
He said with the consensus amendments this government had restored the constitution of 1973 in its original form and added that the future generations would further make it relevant according to the aspirations of the people of Pakistan.
The Prime Minister said that continuity of political process was absolutely important for the political stability without which the dream of peace, prosperity and the progress of the country cannot be realized.
