The economy of the country is in pretty bad shape and there seems to be no road to recovery. The ruling governments, both at the centre and the provinces, seem to have abdicated any governance responsibilities that they have.
The problem is that economic management team is constantly changing and there is neither consistency in policy nor any long-term planning. Everything is done on an ad-hoc basis. We are afflicted by stagflation – rampant inflation and unemployment.
Our energy crisis is crippling growth. Is the economy really beyond repair or is the will and sincerity to do something missing? The going gets tough but the tough are yet to get going.
