Cambridge Int’l Certificate to be awarded to teachers

The inauguration ceremony of the Cambridge International Certificate for teachers and trainers (CICTT) was held at the RAPID training academy at the Roots School System, G-8 campus. The Cambridge International Certificate is a practice-based qualification for continuing professional development, relevant to all teaching and learning contexts. This is the second batch of the prestigious international training whereby the successful candidates are awarded certificates from the University of Cambridge.
A batch of 26 branch heads, academic coordinators and senior teachers are enrolled in the programme. The certificate programme is being conducted by the Roots Academy for Professional and Intellectual Development (RAPID). RAPID is the brain child of the dynamic Walid Mushtaq and is dedicated to accelerate teacher’s growth as professionals. Every RAPID course features internationally recognised educational experts. The programme is being conducted by the Cambridge Certified Programme Leader in collaboration with four noted master trainers. The certificate covers a range of relevant professional activities, to match the particular needs of candidates and teaching context. The three month long course comprises of three core modules, namely, developing a new teaching approach, facilitating active learning and reflecting on practice.
Executive Director Walid Mushtaq said: “We believe in inculcating the best professional practices in our educators through our international and national qualifications. We endeavour to promote 21st century learning, global best practice and technology integration in education.”
