Commerce Minister of Bangladesh Ghulam Muhammad Quader exchanged views with the officers and employees of Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad on Thursday. The minister urged the mission officials to strengthen the trade-diplomacy to foster activities on trade and commerce between Bangladesh and Pakistan. The minister said this during a two-day SAFTA ministerial council meeting in Islamabad. Quader said that all concerned should be more committed to expand foreign trade and develop trade relations with the business people for the economic emancipation of Bangladesh.
The minister knew about few problems being faced by the mission employees and assured them to convey it to the authority concerned in Bangladesh. Acting High Commissioner of Bangladesh Mahfuzur Rahman also spoke on the occasion. Earlier, Quader had a bilateral meeting with Pakistan Senior Federal Minister for Commerce Makhdoom Muhammad Amin Fahim. They exchanged views on mutual interest of trade relations between the two SAARC countries.
