According to weather experts, the city would remain under the grip of sever cold and scattered rain showers in the coming 24 hours. Rain and further drop in mercury are expected in the coming days. The representatives of met office said the temperature of the city remained between 2 to 4 Celsius in the evening and 10 to 14 during the day on Saturday. According to the office, more rain is expected in the city. “It will remain partially clouded and the city would witness short spells of scattered rain for the coming 2 days,” a meteorologist said, adding that the winds would remain chilly also. Met officers said another westerly wave was heading towards Pakistan and likely to enter Balochistan on Saturday evening/night. Under the influence of this weather system scattered rain with snowfall over the hills is expected over north-east Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan/Kashmir, Murree and Galliyat is expected on Sunday/Monday. The prevailing cold wave conditions in most parts of the country, particularly in Sindh are likely to subside during the weekend.
