I want to point out the forgetful behaviour of media regarding different events happening in the country. We switch to a news channel and suddenly there comes a news alert about something and all the news channels start talking about that. The issue is given extensive coverage for some days but is subsequently forgotten about.
We have seen this at a number of occasions like in the case of MNA Anjum Aqeel. Media was highlighting the issue a lot but now no one knows about the proceedings of that case or what happened as a result. In short, media seems to be spreading chaos and posing something as if God knows what was going to happen and then suddenly that event goes into the back corner.
So instead of marketing on news, media should try to use news as a means to inform, educate and increase awareness in the masses.
