The Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) staged a demonstration in front of the Karachi Press Club on Monday to protest the murder of Balochistan Assembly member Mir Bakhtiar Domki’s wife, daughter and driver near the metropolitan’s Gizri flyover last Tuesday (January 31). Domki’s wife was Brahamdagh Khan Bugti’s sister and the slain Nawab Akbar Shahbaz Khan Bugti’s granddaughter.
JSQM leaders criticised security agencies for “their role in the killings”. JSQM Karachi President Ilahi Bakhsh Bikak said, “Pakistan People’s Party’s so-called democratic government has proven itself to be worse for the people of Sindh and Balochistan than any dictatorial government.”
Bikak said, “Security agencies first sent bullet-riddled bodies of Sindhi and Baloch political activists, and now they are sending bodies of our women. The so-called human rights and civil society organisations and the so-called democratic parties are silent on this cruel act.” Sindhis are with their Baloch brothers and sisters at this crucial time, he added.
