It has been continuously experienced that the due dates of payment of bills are being mentioned on the bills without any thought process. For example, PTCL and SNGPL bills are due in the 3rd and 4th week of a month.
Additionally, the last date of payment of the credit card dues of banks are also within the 3rd and 4th week of a month, obviously to manipulate a default. Some of the banks inform about the due date by SMS but then the statements arrive late. Obviously, one cannot pay the amount intimated by SMS as the bill has to be physically verified. I would like to request the Governor, State Bank of Pakistan, to please rationalise the dates of payment of bills between 10th-15th of each month for the ease of the general public.
