This is response to a letter by Mr Shahbaz published on this very space the other day. Mr Shahbaz, your story has not impressed me. In the first place, if he was that bad in drill that an NCO outsmarted him why was he promoted to a JCO rank in your Paltan. Secondly, if he was an outstanding JCO, he must have had other good leadership qualities. So doing an outstanding drill might not be his specialised field. He could have continued as an excellent leader in your Paltan. Thirdly, your unit officers failed to convince him that it was not an incident to resign. Fourthly, that JCO had no sense of proportion when to resign and when not to resign. I am disappointed to know about JCOs and officers of your Paltan.
