Eventually, Hussain Haqqani and the government have won. It appears that they avoided the appearance of Mansoor Ijaz in Pakistan and Husain Haqqani will be leaving the country (for good?) to his benefactors in the USA tonight.
The much hyped case is back to zero with no results achieved. The alleged charges against Haqqani and Co will go into cold storage after spending so much time/effort by the politicians, army, entire media and all patriotic people of Pakistan. But NO RESULT…match drawn!
People have also started doubting the system of law in our dear country where normally justice is delayed most of the time and at times denied? Because of weakness of the present system, would not it be beneficial for the land of the pure to get rid of this faulty system and opt for the time-tested Islamic system of justice to enforce cheap, quick and fair justice to all?
Perhaps, this faulty system is forcing many a Pakistani to run away to other countries and settle permanently. Just a food for thought.
