Fuelling the problem

Most cruelly, our government is poised to increase petroleum prices once again. Our state-economy is now such that it totally lacks any cushion mechanism to protect our people, a majority of whom are poorer than the poorest in the world, from the daily fluctuations in prices of daily necessities.

This is indeed a sad commentary on the calibre of our national leadership that we have had till today. We need a patriotic and sincere leadership to get rid of foreign yoke. We have enough scientific talent in our country. But if we continue to get a leadership as we have had so far, we might as well give up talking about independence and accept to remain as miserable slaves to foreign powers for as long as they wish.
