Investigators of Lahore Police on Wednesday requested the authorities to put the names of the owners of Pharmaceutical Companies, whose medicines reaction have killed dozens of persons at different hospitals of the city, on the Exit Control List (ECL).
Investigators involved in the investigations of a case registered with Shadman Police, said they had started investigating the matter and were gathering the records of the companies that had manufactured the deadly drugs.
Sources said the police investigators have also requested the officials of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to provide them the record of the owners of three pharmaceutical companies who were nabbed a few days back.
It is learnt that the investigators have also banned five medicines of aforesaid five pharmaceutical companies including Lahore based Pharmaviz and Mega Pharma and Karachi based Zafa Pharma, Swiss Pharma and Afroz Chemicals.
FIA INVESTIGATIONS: Meanwhile investigators of FIA sealed the factory of Al-Fah Pharma located on Sheikhupura Road after the management of the said company failed to present license for the manufacturing of medicines.
Investigators said it was revealed that management of Al-flah did not even possess the license to run the company, had purchased raw material from a commercial importer instead of a drug importer and had used raw material that did not carry manufacturing, expiry or validity dates. Interestingly the medicines manufactured with the substandard raw material were passed by the officials of Dug Testing Laboratory (DTL) which could be brought to book.
Investigators said they had collected the record of all companies and more revelations and arrests were expected.
Police and FIA must be happy they will have some rich cows to milk. Now they will make money.
