History was made the other day (January 13) at the Aitchison College, when the head boy of the college was awarded the first triple blazer in the 125-year-old institution. Taking on arduous paths to attain excellence, Haider has defied all standards of excellence and performed beyond any measure of achievements. He attained the Full College Academics blazer in 2010 by securing 10 A’s which followed undeterred consistency throughout his stay. The following year Haider christened his blazer with a second piping for Co Curricular which was awarded for excellence in public speaking, performing arts, journalism and social work.
This feat was complimented by him winning the cross country and being awarded the prize for the best English speaker of the college on the same day, the Malik Chiragh Khan Challenge Cup, back to back. All put together, Haider Abbas to date has been the most decorated Aitchisonian having the honour of being the first Aitchisonian to have been awarded all three blazers in the institutes 125 years history.

  1. Its funny that the hight of academic or worldly success in Pakistan is passing the A level exams. Besides, several schools in Pakistan are notorious for revealing the paper before the exam.

    • For being Captain of the Athletics team
Four years and a Color in the Football team
Winning the cross country since K2 and the college record holder.

      • The sports blazer is now awarded at 2 and a half points! Gone are those days when 3 and a half points was the bare minimum. I've had the privilege to have known (still do) a few athletes/sportsmen who received their respective sports blazers at 4 and a half points! Truly amazing! Not to discount at all what this kid has achieved but the school should be raising standards (or at the very least try maintaining them) rather than diluting the sports blazer's legacy.

        • the sports blazer this kid achieved was in 3 and 1/2 points. so by all means this is not diluting the sports blazer legacy in any way. rather it is an example of improving standards.

  2. Congratulations Haider on your achievements. Well done. You made your parents feel immensely proud of you and gave them a sense of self fulfilment.

Congratulations to Atchison College for giving Pakistan an extremely good finished product.

I also know of another Atchisonian who was elected class rep for first year at University of Manchester Medical School UK this year (2011-2012).

    Well done Atchison
