Security of citizens can’t be left at mercy of Punjab govt: LHC CJ

Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed said that citizens cannot be left at the mercy of Punjab government and police will have to take practical steps for their security.
When the chief justice began hearing about the Rawalpindi kutchery firing case, Inspector General Punjab submitted his reports stating that an inquiry has been completed in the firing incident.
Punjab home secretary assured the court that in the future such incidents would not be allowed to take place and the security plan prepared by IG Punjab was being implemented.
The chief justice asked for the presentation of the security plan before the court on 20th January and observed that the citizens cannot be left at the mercy of Punjab government and police will have to take practical steps to ensure security of the people.
