Obey the SC

The historic 5 member SC Order in the NRO case is keeping the entire nation on tenterhooks till the pending decision of the larger SC bench comes forth on the 16th of January. For the last four years, the rulers have openly disobeyed the SC by willing non-compliance. Now they have been given six more agonising days to forge new delaying tactics, now maybe through the parliament.

Mr Roedad Khan while commenting on the six options yesterday seemed to be very perturbed as to why the court has shown such laxity. He believes that simple order to issue show cause notices to all concerned named in the short order may have put an end to this delaying game.

The common man is fed up of these gimmicks by the rulers. So many lawyers/politicians, even Mr Aitzaz Ahsan, have also advised the government to just obey the SC orders in letter and spirit. This will give them some goodwill in the coming elections. Now the voter is well aware of these counter-moves/tricks. Maybe their confrontation with the SC will become the cause of their loss in fair elections. I hope some sanity and long sightedness prevails upon them as time is running short.
