The Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) on Wednesday promoted 250 lecturers working in the federal government colleges and model colleges from grade 17 to grade 18.
The promotions came after a teachers’ up-gradation package was announced by Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani October 2010. CADD Joint Secretary Rafiq Tahir told Pakistan Today that the promotions were approved in a department promotion committee (DPC) meeting, which was held under the chairman ship of the CADD with the Education joint secretary.
He said the cases of the school teachers working in BPS 17 were being prepared by the Federal Directorate of Education. The cases would be examined by another DPC when they would reach the CADD.
