The Punjab government has declared the Gujranwala Medical College (GMC) as the constituent college of the University of Health Sciences (UHS).
According to a notification issued by Health Department on Tuesday, the management, administration and control of Gujranwala Medical College has been transferred to UHS with immediate effect.
The District Headquarters Hospital Gujranwala shall continue to function as attached teaching hospital for the college, established by the Punjab government in 2010 and recently recognised by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
