The annual Urs of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, a magnanimous soul who guided the humanity with his rare qualities of head and heart and who loved everyone as his own soul, is being celebrated with usual fervour and solemnity in the famous town of Bhitt Shah, Hyderabad division. One can witness various activities throughout the province where all and sundry pay a glowing tribute to him who is sociologist and philosopher of rare breed. Shah sain is indeed an inspiration to every individual. Shah Latif is emotionally and spiritually nearer to everyone.
Millions of people have been influenced by his life, mission and vision. His vision is peace, progress and happiness. His writings bring sensitivity, sagacity, simplicity, creativity, hope and solace to the lacerated hearts. However, in order to pay tribute to him and advocate his message of humanity and humanitarian values, I appeal to the President of Pakistan to direct the foreign ministry, the external publicity wing of ministry of information and broadcasting and also the culture department to project and promote his message of “peace and social justice”, “tolerance and toleration”, “harmony and development” around the globe. For this purpose his poetic works “Shah Jo Risalo” should be translated in all UN official languages at the earliest.
