When Pakistan Cricket Board’s former Chairman Ijaz Butt was leaving his post, he claimed that he had left five billion rupees in the PCB bank accounts and another six billion rupees were to be deposited to the accounts by the end of 2012.
But now the current PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf has said that the bank balance of PCB was around four billion rupees when he took the charge and he didn’t see any chances of getting the other six billion rupees.
The different statements given by Ijaz Butt and Zaka Ashraf show that something fishy is going on in the PCB. I appeal to the Patron-in-Chief of PCB, President Asif Ali Zardari to look into this matter. And I hope he does not take this issue as a conspiracy against the PPP government and orders a probe into this matter as soon as possible.
