Ban on porn websites

It is good to know that Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has taken an action to curb immoral material on the internet because now our youth and kids could be saved to visit such websites that are harmful for them.

Parents are very much conscious of allowing their kids to use the internet for long hours despite the fact that it is vital due to its beneficial aspects. However, it has disadvantages as well.

But as it is witnessed traditionally, rules and regulations are not followed in our country. There are many ISPs who are still providing access to websites which should have been banned after issuance of such an order. Surprisingly, PTCL has not blocked websites on its internet service as it was confirmed by media reports as well which is a condemnable act.

I request the PTA to enforce ban on all websites having indecent content forever and check all internet service providers for strict censorship on their networks.

  3. agree but open the downloading websites atleast. we are not unable to download mobile applications for iphone or some others.

  7. it is great to know that such material is now barred, but kindly know that still they need to work and check few options available (even through very popular ISPs) to cross the line.

  9. 'PTA' together with 'All Pakistan Cable Association' made few remarkable positive steps in such a critical time Pakistan going through. For my area, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Karachi, there's no access to any porn website from like past 10 days. Thumbs Up! 🙂

  10. When porn stops, people look for other ways to fulfill their desires. Banning porn is a horrible thing to do, and goes against what freedom stands for. Blast me all you want, but in due time you will understand the negative implications of banning porn.

  12. porn site Block kar k kuch Faida nahi hoga Q k Dekhne waly DVD or CD par dekh laingy or waise bhi block site ko chalane k liye bohat se software markeet main mujood hain jaise Hotspot Shield…so bekaar hai Block krna or waise bhi aaj kal ki larkiyan or larky ye sab khule aam kr rahy hian matlab boyz n girls bigar chuke hain ab koi faida nahi pehly sochty tu behtar hota….
