All literary organisations and men of letters on Friday demanded Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani to place the administrative control of Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) under the Prime Minister’s Secretariat or the Cabinet Division so that it should continue to serve writers’ community in a befitting manner.
While making this demand, Imdad Aakash, addressing a gathering of writers and representatives of all literary organisations of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, said the present status of PAL and consequential issues have necessitated placement of PAL under the administrative control of the Cabinet Division.
