I read in a news that former Pakistan ambassador to the United States Hussain Haqqani has sued the US magazine Newsweek for publishing an article written by Mansoor Ijaz.
Husain Haqqani has served a notice which claimed that the article has caused “irreparable damage” to his and President Asif Ali Zardari’s reputation. Mansoor Ijaz in his article claimed that President Zardari and Haqqani were aware of the 2 May raid in Abbottabad beforehand.
It is good to see that Hussain Haqqani has taken this step but I am thinking as to why he didn’t sue the Financial Times where Mansoor Ijaz’s article was published regarding Memogate.
