With the passage of two bills in the Senate regarding women rights, almost of 50 percent of Pakistan’s population can now heave a sigh of relief. Historic this legislation may be, what really matters is its enforcement. Shouldn’t these laws be applied retrospectively to provide relief to the women who have already been made victims of barbarism in one way or another.
