Clarifying a news report regarding Shahbaz airbase, a spokesman of the Ministry of Defence on Thursday said Shahbaz airbase was already under Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) control. In a statement, the spokesman said the news report attributed to the Minister of Defence Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar regarding control of the Shahbaz airbase was not true. “The defence minister had stated that Shahbaz airbase was totally under PAF control and the US had no control over it,” he said.
