A party with three perfect words and a proper noun: “Imran Khan”, “Change” and “Youth”. Anyone can be attracted and fascinated by these three beguiling words.
Imran Khan: Who is he?
A well-known cricketer, the one who brought World Cup to the country in 1992, a proud moment for Pakistan. A very good philanthropist, made SKMT with the help of people of Pakistan to which cause the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif gave the land tax-free, for a noble cause.
Change: What kind of a change is required by us at present?
We all are so desperate for “change” but what kind of “change” and through which channel and tool? To be very honest, we don’t know exactly what kind of change we want, but the crux is we want “change”, no matter at what cost and where our desperation of “ change “would lead us to. We are not concerned with that.
Youth: who are they?
Engaging and involving youth is no doubt a very good initiative. What kind of youth? The youth has no sense of direction, no vision, who are ignorant, aggressive, intolerant and do not hesitate or don’t even think once before disrespecting their fellow citizens, senior citizens on the basis of political affiliation. Can we bring “change” from this kind of youth on board?
He is Imran Khan “the Imran Khan”. He talks about change “the change”. He talks about “youth”, about “us”.
Having all the appealing ingredients to attract but still I left PTI. Reason being, I believe it is always better to give another chance to something which you have tried before, only when you can visibly see the difference between the tried and the untried. The new ride which you are trying to go for is not the one which is required by you.
Having a bad toothache, so I thought of trying some new toothpaste (change is what I need) as I was carried away by the advertisement and the hype created by it. The fancy packet was appealing too. I was about to purchase it but before doing that I just go through the ingredients on the back of it. And I failed to find a single useful ingredient that will solve my tooth problem. So I realised that I should stick to my old toothpaste, at least it has the required ingredients. May be I am not using it properly or maybe I just overlooked “the new and improved” version of it in my desperation of “change” and in my eagerness of trying something new.
That day I realised, Imran Khan’s speeches and talks are marvellous and can appeal to anyone for the time being. His charismatic personality no doubt leaves an impact. But on reality grounds his policies lack practical approach to the core issues. He talked about insignificant issues and without any concrete solutions. Mobilising and gathering people on a platform does not prove anyone as a successful leader.
Even Shahrukh Khan can gather an immense crowd but this doesn’t make him a leader. It is always the vision and practical approach to the national issues and international issues that can motivate people for a change. Identification of issues and problems is not what we require today. We all know what our problems are. Talking about larger than life and reality will always have an adverse effect as they lack practical implementation.
Trying something new is good only when it is useful and when it makes sense; otherwise, you will end up in more mess.

JF-17 was signed during the time of Nawaz Sharif .. all these things were visionary ……….. Vision of industrial Pakistan.

what change? clearly you have buried your head in the sand to be unaware of the particulars of the change that is being advocated.
a change of the status quo that would bring about:
– a government that is not parasitic to the state (by outlawing 'benami' and mandating that people contesting elections declare their total assets before running for office so they are accountable for everything they make while in public office)
– disbanding and outlawing all militant groups in pakistan (political or sectarian, national assets or liabilities).
– bringing the army (and it budgetary spending) under civilian command and scrutiny
– a disassociation with the american war on terror coupled with a dialog with militant factions within the parameters of our constitution.
– end to american aid (to enable reforms necessary that would be difficult to implement when aid comes with specific instructions and is used to buy the loyalty of political 'leaders') and doubling pakistani tax to gdp ratio by (1) inspiring people through exemplary leadership that is first to file their taxes and (2) using full force of law against those found evading taxes.

PML (N) has hired my cousin's media consulting company to bring youth towards them. He initially refused (as he supports IK) but then 12 crore was too big an amount for his small company.
So he has now deployed 15 "consultants" who are writing articles about Imran on express tribune and the news. However, after reading this article, I know that his media strategy is not going to work.
Poor attempt to attract attention and readers by writing on IK and PTI .. I only had to read the first few lines and that was enough for me… no need to waste time ..

Not supporting any party but i saw many of you are supporting Imran Khan who is shaking hands with the politicians which he used to call theifs, looters and so on… what a shame. I had a respect for him before but in a past couple of weeks he is really becoming a Politician.
If not Imran Khan then who? We KNOW that Zardari and Sharifs do NOT work. We have seen it in last 20 years.

Guys.We should respect Mariyam's views. I have been a die hard fan of Imran Khan since grade 4 and now i am 42. Imran is a superstar & a man of great character. A born leader and true son of soil, who has always took the most difficult but right decisions. Despite all that we should not ignore the important thoughts which Mariyam has touched in her article. Imran has to come up with a road map, announce a core team of proven technocrats & beware of opportunists in his ranks. Secondly, Imran has to stop criticising Nawaz Sharif & other leaders. Be a statesman & focus on beating the competition by bring up cutting edge and clear political agenda with defined timelines. Believe me he will be much better off and that's what we want from him. Finally, Imran has to be more accessable to people.
Guys, we should respect Mariyam's thoughts. I am all for Imran Khan the revolutionist but at the same time i need to see a statesman in him. He should now focus less on criticising Nawaz & his peers and work hard to come with a quality road map with well defined time lines.

Dear Mariam, it was nice to read your blog but it was not convincing. Because issues are bigger than tooth aches here. But when talking at your level, when a person takes a medicine for his tooth ache and it was helpful but had side effects, he will still prefer to change the medicine next time. In the same way, we need revolution here. Revolution means to change for the betterment. When the senior citizens had given a chance to those whom we have already tried and had seen no betterment, rather increasing crisis, the YOUTH has to play an important role. Youth is with revolution, is with change. Looking at the present situation of Pakistan, if one says all people were flop, then there is no harm in trying another one. If its a flop, now worries because everyone other than Imran Khan is also a flop but if its a hit, it will be only because of change. It is a normal human nature, that anything doesn't fit properly or is harmful, then change or don't do it. Hope you get the idea behind the chnage, youth and Imran Khan.

WHY I JOINED PAKISTAN PEOPLES PARTY(SB) and left PTI ?
I SYED RASIM , join the Pakistan peoples party (SB) because of the following points as below :
The basic principles of the Pakistan Peoples Party (Shaheed Bhutto) is the original ones of PPP of 1967. i.e;
1.Islam is our Faith.
2.Democracy is our Polity.
3.Socialism is our Economy.
4.All power to the people.
In additions to the above principles Z.A Bhutto gave three common slogans of Roti (bread), Kapra (clothing), Makan (shelter), to the people of Pakistan. Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto further improvised those slogans keeping in view the objectives and prevailing conditions, and gave following five new slogans to the party in addition to the above mentioned slogans.
1.Land to the landless.
2.Shelter to the shelterless.
3.Job to the jobless.
4.Autonomy to the provinces.
5.Protection to the life and property of the people.
The historical compulsions demanded that to save Z.A.Bhutto’s party his ideology and the hopes and aspirations of the people of Pakistan and Pakistan Peoples Party. Now the party founded by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on Nov.30, 1967 is called Pakistan Peoples Party (SB) headed by Mrs. Ghinwa Bhutto as its Chairperson.
