Buried by Zia, Freemasons now haunt Punjab govt

Top government officials in Punjab are perturbed over a legal move by the Freemasons that can ultimately result in the loss of prime property currently under the possession of the Punjab government, Pakistan Today learnt on Friday.
The Freemasons, one of the most mysterious and controversial societies across the world, were banned in Pakistan by former president Ziaul Haq under the Martial Law Regulation (MLR) 56 in 1983, charging them of “anti-state” and “anti-Islam” activities and handing over their moveable and immoveable assets to provincial governments with immediate effect. In Punjab alone they possessed three prime properties: 90-The Mall (Lahore), 307 (Multan) and 1307 (Rawalpindi). At the time of partition, the estimated number of properties they possessed across Pakistan was around 30.
However, what happened during Ziaul Haq’s regime was the epitome of a long going controversy starting in 1973 when the Punjab Assembly passed a resolution against Freemasons declaring their activities “anti-state” and “anti-Islam”. The federal government also took Punjab’s lead while Khan Abdul Qayum Khan, the interior minister at the time, declared them innocent.
However, in 1973, the deputy commissioner of Lahore requisitioned 90-The Mall for the Islamic Summit for two months and the deputy inspector general (DIG) office was set up there as a makeshift arrangement, but the building was never returned even though the Lahore High Court (LHC) single and double bench decided in the Freemasons’ favour.
The government then moved the Supreme Court against the LHC verdict in 1978. Finally, Ziaul Haq took over and imposed a ban on the Freemasons, while in 1986 the Supreme Court decided that the issue was no more as the MLR 56 had been given legal cover under the 8th Amendment in 1985 and told the Freemasons to appeal at a “proper forum” in case of any grievances. Since the term “proper forum” has not been defined in any law, the Freemasons wrote to various high offices such as successive presidents and prime ministers, including both Nawaz Sharif and the late Benazir Bhutto, but did not receive any reply.
Finally in 1995, Freemason Kabir A Sheikh and five others filed a writ petition (8907/95) challenging the MLR 56, pleading that they were a philanthropist organisation while building their argument around the history and legal status of 90-The Mall, at the time under the use of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
According to court records, Freemasons, all residents of the provincial capital, filed the writ petition through their counsel Dr Khalid Ranjha against the Punjab government, which was represented by the additional advocate general. During the course of the case, the Interior Ministry had also filed its comments on the issue saying that the available material showed the Freemasons were involved in “anti-state” and “anti-Islam” activities, to which Freemasons submitted an affidavit declaring that they practiced Islam as a religion and their beliefs were similar to common Muslims.

Interestingly, however, the revenue records dating back to the 1950s and 1960s show the building now named 90-The Mall mentioned as “Kothi Jadugar” (Sorcerer’s House). The Freemasons had also won a case under the Corporation Act claiming the building in question had been declared a “temple”.
Iran, Iraq and Saudi Arabia have also banned the organisation because of its controversial nature. Worldwide, Freemasons are famous for their secret rituals and for constructing buildings which supposedly have secret symbols inscribed into their architecture. Few other international organisations are surrounded by as much controversy as the Freemasons.
There are 33 degrees of Freemasonry, while the ones who have filed the writ petition are ‘Masters’ and ‘Past Masters’, Freemasons of the 4th and 5th degree respectively.
This has created a lot of anxiety among top government officials in the Punjab Civil Secretariat owing to the gravity of the situation as well as the mystery surrounding Freemasons, especially given that the next date of the hearing in the LHC is December 30.
Many top officials have ordered books on Freemasonry from abroad to study their history and symbols and what they stand for, while a lot of rumours are making rounds in the corridors of power regarding the probable future of the prime offices under the possession of the Punjab government because if the court gives a verdict against the MLR 56, it would ultimately result in the Punjab government having to hand over all property back to the Freemasons.

  1. The free masons have become smart too. They use religion quite effectively. Case in point THE QURAN CENTER in upper mall

  2. In 1973 Freemason became an office for than Deputy Inspector General of Police Mr. Sadique Suleman. This building was turned into his office for the only purpose of Summit's tenure. This building was also called Jadoo Ghar building means House of Magic building. People say the spirits roam around in this building. It is a well guarded building right next to a Red Cross headquarter and a Police Station. Past governments tried to take over this building but it seems when someone tries a trick to get it but the roaming spirits in the building come in their way and stop the whole move. Like Nazaria-i-Pakistan office area which is itself a real estate gold mine on the Mall road right next to Continental hotel, great location is now owned by the people who have the NAZAR. Like a poet said, " NAZAR NAY NAZAR KO NAZAR BHER KAY DEKHA, NAZAR KI NAZAR KO NAZAR LUG GAI". So watch out for that NAZAR. Freemason building is wonderful location and is in the center of the city and I hope it is used as main library for the people. But please have a parking plaza before declaring it as the Lahore City Public Library, otherwise the entire traffic of the Mall road will be backed up to the Motor way. Good Luck Freemason.

  3. Freemasons can be searched over the whole internet and all you will find is thier plots and how dangerous they are…… being an Islamic state no mater what they say …. freemasons should not be given the right to practice in Pakistan. These ppl have always been Anti-Islam and will b.. So its better to dimolish the Jadugar house once and for all and end this debate and case !

  4. Qabza groups are after this prime property…under the cover of anti islam or blah blah conspiracy theories…!

  5. It is no more a secret that Freemasonry is pro Jewish, israel, zionist, and exploited by the British and Americans against the interests of Islam and the Muslim Ummah in Muslim countries through their pawns, puppets and stooges will continue to harm in the form of Lions and Rotarians because Mr. Kabir Shaikh was a Rotarian.
Moreover those who filed Petitions perhaps through S.M. Zafar Advocates in the Supreme Court on behalf of the Freemasons had and have no 'locus standi' to pursue the matter and this legal aspect requires to be looked into.

  6. Quite sometime back, at a meeting of Lodge Temperance and Benevolence No: 1233 under the Scottish Constitution, its Master, Mr. Hassanally Abdur Rahman in order to gain public favor stated that Freemasons would invite non-members to Lodge Meeting and that "Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi was himself a Mason and enrolled King Richard of England to his Masonic Order during the Crusades."
It is something ridiculous and unbelievable. Besides, there cannot be a greater insult to Islam and champions, who did so much for the Muslims, especially by a Muslim. This is painful.
On the basis of my discussions with the Masters of Lodge, Royal Arch Masons and Master Masons and reference to Masonic works of authority, I am emboldened to say that there is no iota of truth in it but an invention and fabrication, typical and characteristic of Freemasons attempting to explain the peace treaty which King Richard had to conclude because he had no choice and realized that it was futile fighting against someone who was "Prince of Chivalry" and a real Mujahid.

On the basis of my discussions with the Masters of Lodge, Royal Arch Masons and Master Masons and reference to Masonic works of authority, I am emboldened to say that there is no evidence in support of this claim.iota because the Freemasons themselves are in doubt about some of their prominent brethren.

On the contrary, it was "Robert of St. Albans – an English templar knight who converted to Islam from Christianity in 1185 and led an army for Saladin against the Crusaders in Jerusalem." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_converts_to_

    • love you brother …please share more knowledge like this … you are really enlightening….. all muslims united.

  8. Freemasons claim that "Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi was himself a Mason and enrolled King Richard of England to his Masonic Order during the Crusades." Such a claim was made in Pakistan by none other than Mr. Hassanally Abdur Rahman, Master of Lodge Temperance & Benevolence No: 1233 S.C.

  9. Whatever happened to live and let live? Zia is gone, give the building back to its rightful owners. We've been tolerating tyranny and bigotry I am sure we can let this one slide.

    • Thing is if it was the case of a specific religion we should have allowed it, but Freemasons have no religion. It is basically an organization working behind the scene. We are not responsible for giving the building back. take an example, suppose CIA owned a building for a while and when govt. became aware of it, it disbanded and took the building because it was a threat to the country. not that they do anything directly but indirectly what they do is wrong.

  10. The ban should be continued in the best interest of the country as well as for Islam.if Hejab is banned in Europe`s various states why we should be afraid for implementation of these things in Islamic Republic of Pakistan.it is requested that the whole nation must stand on one issue unitedly.as every country has it`s own right to implement the right things in the right way.

  11. Right, so we want to go the way of Iran, Iraq and Saudia Arabia!??..all bastions of freedom, all upholders of human rights, all modern, intelligent, thinking states??..the destruction of Pakistan is this insistence that we need to "save" Islam from the evil doers..no, we need to save Islam from Muslims!..

  12. Pakistan Should Ban Freemasons its Anti Christs(Dajjal) constituent. plz condemend I know the monogram of Punjab ministry of live stock & diary form also resemble to Devil (shtan) team .

    • hurray…punjab ministry of live stock and all of its cow should be banned.

  13. Islam belongs to Allah, it is only He who is saving it, till the timeHe desires so…
Following Islam in its true spirit or not, is a decision Muslims can freely make…
It is their property and should be given back to them, even if the organisation is banned, as no government or its department can take over or confiscate any property without leagal justification to do so.
Pakistan is a Muslim country so religiuos, economical and sacial justice must prevail..

      LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
      ‘WE SERVE‘

This refers to Mr. Parvez Ali’s letter, “We serve” (13.5.83).
Notwithstanding President Zia-ul-Haq’s presence at the all Pakistan convention of Lions Clubs and his acceptance of the Head of State Award or Message and Mr. A. K. Brohi’s address at the Rotary International’s Presidents Conference of Goodwill the fact still remains that Pakistan cannot ignore the resolution passed at Makka Mukarramah in 1974 by Rabitah Al Alam Al Islami (Muslim World League) and endorsed by the First Asian Islamic Conference in 1978 against joining by Muslims of the pro-Jewish international organizations like the Lions Club, the Rotary, and above all the Freemasons.

The following facts will be of interest in this regard.

In the end of 1965 the Pakistan Government prohibited its armed forces personnel from becoming members of Freemasonry, Lions and Rotary Clubs. In 1969, other government servants were barred from accepting membership of any organisation whose aims and objects, nature of activities and membership were not publicly known.

In Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Syria and the United Arab Republic, the Lions Clubs themselves voluntarily closed down due to public resentment.

Syria banned Rotary Clubs and Freemasonry in 1965 and threatened the members of both organizations with prosecution on charges of belonging to secret international organisations.

William Cater in his article, “Rotary is not such a secret society” (Dawn, 15.4.67) mentioned: “The secret society suspicion also comes from the fact that maybe 50 per cent of the Rotarians are also Freemasons. Possibly it was this which put Rotary for years under the displeasure of the Vatican. It was not until 1965 that peace was made. The Pope gave Rotary his blessing and Rotary gave the Pope a cheque for charities.”

Following the Vatican Council’s declaration on the Jews absolving Jewry from crucifixion, Freemasons are now seeking reconciliation between Freemasonry and the Church of Rome because Papal Bulls have condemned Freemasonry.

    Freemasonry Flourishes in Iran

Freemasonry has been established in Iran for many years; recently there were 11 Lodges under the Scottish Constitution ten under the GNLF (France) and three under the German Constitution. (Surprisingly there were none under the United Grand Lodge of England).

Last year-after having ascertained that H. I. M. The Shahinshah favoured such an idea-the brethren in Iran formed their own Grand Lodge. The new Grand Lodge of Iran was sponsored by the Grand Lodges of Scotland, France and Germany whose Grand Masters
were present in person to perform the ceremonies of Consecration, Erection and Installation of the Grand Lodge and its Officers.

    U. G. L. had sent R. W. Bro. Frank Douglas, The Assistant Grand Master as representative.

We learn with pleasure that M. W. Bro. J. Sharif Emami, the President of the Senate has been installed as the First Grand Master.

He named the following brethren as Past Grand Masters of the Grand Lodge of Iran.

Bro. Amir Abbas Hoveyda (the Prime Minister of Iran).

Bro. Dr. Said Malek (Senator and former Dist. G. M. of Iran).

Bro. Mohammad Saaed (Senator and a former Prime Minister of Iran).

His Emminence, Bro. Dr. S. Hasan Emami (Emam Joma)

This is the list of the Principal Officers of the G. L. of Iran:

Dy. G. M: R. W. Bro. Abbas Gholi Golshayan (formerly a Minister of Finance and

    Barzagani)

Asstt: G. M. R. W. Bro. Dr. Amir Hekmat (Senator)

We most humbly express on behalf of our readers our facilitations and fraternal greetings to M. W. The Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Iran and the Grand Lodge Officers. We are sure that we shall establish and maintain happy and fraternal relations with our brethren in Iran and whenever any of us visit Iran a visit to a Lodge there should be welcome gesture.

In Pakistan, and in Punjab only, Freemasons under the English Constitution (United Grand Lodge of England (UGL) had challenged while those under the Scottish Constitution (Grand Lodge of Scotland (GLOS)in Sindh comprising Hyderabad, Sukkur and Karachi preferred not to do so. 27. Why are you arguing and showing the world how lost you are even thou you hold the truth. Why are you blind. The noble qu'ran gave us warnings of these Freemasons . Do you know who the leader of them is? Then maybe, just maybe you need to find out before arguing yourself and anyone who follows you into the dark.
Fact. Freemasons follow the satanic rituals.
They are the greatest thing the devil has created
They both work together from the lowest in their ranks to the highest.
More proof cos you really lost?
Fact. Coca cola is Arabic in its mirror image. What does it say? No Muhammad and no Makkah . Astagfirulla
Princess Diana' death was a sacrificial act.
Palestine has been taken by the anti Christ state
They sell rings on eBay which carry up to 4 jinn with them. What the hell
Hindus , Buddhist's and masons all worship Satan.
They hold the black magic from Herut and mahrut from the times of prophet sulemans times. It is forbidden. Taweeze is forbidden. jadu is forbidden, spirit worship is forbidden .
Please don't deny it in Pakistan unless you want to look stupid 🙂

    Wake up Pakistan

  28. I am from the awan warrior caste. I am from the message spreading awan caste. We go back to Hazrat Abbas from kerbala. We are trusted Muslims who are and always have been musalman! We spread Islam throughtout Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.
One is weak and blind if he cannot see or understand his enemy, would one agree?
I am blessed to be able to see not only my enemy, but also the enemy of the humankind.
I will start with a story, it was in prophet sulemans times when Allah (jjlh) gave prophet sulemans the knowledge to see all the spirits and to understand all the animals when they spoke. The kingdom was a magical place. The word spread throughout the land of its nature, all the way to Europe. It left the witches in the west wanting the power and they would always want it.
Now in the same era, Herut and mahrut fallen angels from heaven came down and showed black magic to the people. They never showed the people until they said the words this is forbidden!
However, when the prophet found out of this news he immediately took the tablet and hid it under their thrown.
Now when the prophet (pbuh) died. The spirits carried on working because the cane that the prophet had was holding them up while they sat in their chair. It was because Allah (jjlh) put a termite eat the cane and make it snap. It was only after that the jinn realised that he was dead.
Years later the Freemasons found the tablet and straight away thought that the prophet used the tablet for his power. They were ultimately wrong. They didnot realise that Allah (jjlh) gave the prophet (pbuh) his own power and that it had no connection to the tablet with black magic. Oh well it's the freemasons loss that they think these spirits can help them , cos in the long run they want you to be the fuel for hell. The reason jinns are doin this is because they have been told by shatan that hell is only for humans. That's a straight lie he has told them.
Fact is if the jinn did not know that the prophet who was right in front of them, that he was dead, shows you that they don't know like Allah (jjlh) knows .
So after all that I hope you understand what is happening and why. Exactly what is mentioned in Quran regarding dajal (astagfirulla ) .
Don't trust the west. Full stop . Unless he's a Muslim like me or a strong believer in god , please don't trust them until you are satisfied . May peace and succes come to Pakistan .i feel that we need to crush witchcraft. It is our duty. We need to create order to prevent constant chaos and we need to warn the people of Pakistan about the illuminati (highest masons)

  29. zia ul haq was zionist agent who killed 17000 PLO freedom fighter on the order of his masonic masters. he did not ban freemason.(First is the Lahore Masonic Temple of Charing Cross. Its formal name was the Lodge of Hope and Perseverance No. 782, a Masonic lodge warranted by the United Grand Lodge of England. The lodge was closed in 1972 by Z.A. Bhutto, who saw the Freemason Movement as “anti-Islamic”, a claim that has never been proven. The beginning of an intolerant age had dawned upon us, a process that just does not seem to stop.)

  30. Freemasonry is a fraternal organisation – not against any religion. People use it for networking. There is nothing sinister about it. I am talking from with my own experience as a Master Mason.

    • Please be truthful and confirm whether you have read and understood the Holy Quran and offer five times daily congregational and Friday prayers and compared the oaths taken by you as Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, and Master Mason and did not find them in conflict with the verses of the Holy Quran and your conscience as a Muslim? Does it not amount to selling ones soul to the devil? I have met and discussed the matter with Royal Arch Masons and Past Masters who were Muslims and wept and regretted that they were deceived and they were advised that they were not bound by them and if they thought so they could expiate for that as required by the Holy Quran

  32. Itis a ritual ridden fraternity pandering to a few egotistical individuals who think they are a secret society Their secrecy is known to everyone..

  33. Who can hurt islam more than people of Pakistan, who kill , loot and defraud fellow muslims every single day.

    • well who kill, loot and do fraud are us Muslims no one else, but somewhere in the heart we do have regrets and we repent that what makes us Muslims. So don't be naive. These are one of the biggest enemies of Islam and the difference is there hearts have locks on them and they can't get Haddayah.

  34. what ever we say about free massons or qaidiani etc.. Pakistan is land where saints, martiars, sofi, ulama are burried and mujahids are living here, Pakistan is a symbol and fort of Islam in the world and no body
dare to destabilize our country. so we are not worried about any thing.

  35. Freemason members may belong to any monotheist religion, but they all pledge to support the state of Israel and its security from any threat.

  36. Long live zia for what he has done in the past for pakistan and he will live on . He really should of destroyed the buildings and kill everyone if the members.

  37. we have to be very carefull because we should not be the part of qabza group OR should not be the part of freemessons
