Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday approved Muhajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H) chief Afaq Ahmed’s bail plea asking the government not to arrest him again.
The court ordered the government not to detain Afaq Ahmed in abduction case any more.
Earlier, SHC on Friday granted permission to chief Afaq Ahmed for pursuing his cases in-person in the court. A division bench of SHC, comprising Chief Justice Mushir Alam and Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi, was hearing a constitutional petition filed by MQM-H chief through Iqbal Kazmi against Sindh chief secretary, home secretary and Rangers director general, seeking Rangers’ protection for him and keeping him under observation by the spy agencies, excluding police.
