During proceedings, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary asked the Attorney General, “Can any accused be acquitted without any trial”?
The investigation officer, Zafar Qureshi held the Ministry of Interior responsible for getting Moonis Elahi out of the country despite the fact that his name was on Exist Control List (ECL).
Justice Ameer Hani Muslim asked the Attorney General that why the government neither filed any appeal against the acquittal of Moonis Elahi nor it took any action for sending him abroad.
The hand writing expert confirmed the writing of the Business Manager of Chaudhary brothers.
The court adjourned the hearing till today (Tuesday).
