National Assembly Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday said that issue of mismanagement in Hajj flights would be taken up in the parliament.
During the current Hajj season Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has proved that it treats the VIPs and the commons alike as Karachi-bound Hajj flight carrying parliamentarians was also delayed by several hours.
Faisal Karim Kundi, who was also on the same flight and fell victim to the PIA mismanagement, said that issue of Hajj flights would be raised in national assembly and the management would be asked to explain the reasons for the discomfort to the passengers.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNAs Anjum Aqeel and Shakeel Awan pointed out that not only were the Hajj flights delayed, but also other Hajj matters were also not proper.
Meanwhile, Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Asif Hussian has also lashed out at the PIA’s poor performance, warning that if the airlines did not put its management in order we might see Hajj flights delayed by 17-18 hours.

  1. Fazal Kundi should listen to what PIA MD had to state, that the Hajis should be grateful that they were brought back on PIA aircrafts and in the past these Hajis used to travel by camels. Mr Kundi, your boss selected the MD, because he studied with him in Petaro and that is enough of a qualification as far as Zardari Saheb is concerned. Zardari Saheb believes in favouring his friends and in the process if PIA collapses like Railways or Steel Mills, or OGDC, or NICL,– so be it. After all they have a mandate to do as they please for 5 years, no questions asked.
