CM pays homage to Allama Iqbal

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday visited the mausoleum of Allama Iqbal, laid floral wreath and offered Fateha. A delegation of Turkish businessmen currently visiting Punjab was also present on this occasion. Talking to reporters, he said that Iqbal was a great philosopher and poet who showed a new ray of hope to the Muslims of sub continent through his poetry and promoted the values of national dignity and pride. The chief minister also inaugurated a model Basti, Shahbaz Nagar and said that model residential colonies will be introduced in the entire province.
Shahbaz Nagar has been constructed for the residents of Kachi Abadies in Faisalabad. The CM announced the establishment of girls’ college and vocational training institute and laid the foundation stone of the mosque in Shahbaz Nagar. Shahbaz also visited the Services and Mayo hospitals on Eid day. He visited different wards and reviewed the medical facilities being provided to the patients. He distributed Eid gifts among the patients and also provided financial assistance to the poor patients.
