IT courses for policemen soon

The Islamabad police will introduce information technology based programmes for its employees to ensure efficient and modern policing.
This was stated by Inspector General of Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan while speaking here at the inaugural ceremony of Islamabad Police Institute of Professional Sciences-IT Wing here at Police Lines Headquarters.
DIG-Headquarters Ahmad Mukarram, SSP-Headquarters Muhammad Zubair Hashmi and Director-IT Saleem Raza along with other officials of Islamabad Police and IT team were also present on the occasion. The IGP said that employees of Islamabad Police will be acquainted with modern techniques and to be imparted IT-based knowledge and training for its further efficiency.
He appreciated the efforts of DIG Headquarters as well as his team and further directed that more IT based trainings programmes may be launched to improve police image in the general public. SSP-Headquarters informed on the occasion that Islamabad Police will launch different courses of Basic, Intermediate, Advance level IT and Cyber Crime detection through this vital initiative. The Director-IT briefed that first time in Pakistan, Islamabad Police has made all its internal processes computerized; which includes Electronic FIRs, Driving License, Human Resource Records, On-Line complaint management system and so on.
