Court of Judicial Magistrate No 6 Faisal Hamid has issued arrest warrants of former Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Muhammad Yousuf in Nawab Akbar Bugti assassination case.
Arrest warrants have been obtained from the court by the team of Crime Branch Quetta, which is probing into this murder case.
It may be recalled Nawabzada Jamil Akbar Bugti had held former President Pervaiz Musharraf, former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, former Interior Minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, former Balochistan Governor Owais Ahmad Ghani, former Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Muhammad Yousuf and former Balochistan Home Minister Shoaib Nosherwani responsible for killing his father Nawab Akbar Bugti and had registered FIR against them.
The investigation team has already obtained arrest warrants of Pervaiz Musharraf, Shaukat Aziz, Shoaib Nosherwani and former DCO Dera Bugti Abdul Samad Lasi. The team has also recorded statements of Owais Ahmad Ghani and Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao and filed them in Balochistan High Court.
Former Interior Minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao and former governor Balochistan Owais Ahmad Ghani through their written statements have held out assurance to crimes branch for extending cooperation during investigation of the case.
