Shehbaz inaugurates Chinese Consulate in Muslim Town

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday inaugurated Chinese Consulate in Muslim Town Lahore and hoisted Chinese flag on the building on the occasion of the Independence Day of China.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, the chief minister said that Pak-China friendship had become stronger and a new history of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries had been written during the tenure of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The chief minister congratulated Chinese Ambassador Sun Weidong, Consul General Yu Boren and other Chinese officials on the inauguration of Chinese Consulate on China’s 66th Independence Day.

Sharif said that agreements for projects of billions of dollars had been signed between China and Pakistan during the Chinese president’s visit and their implementation had already started. He said that projects would be completed expeditiously. Sharif said that he was personally monitoring the pace of progress on CPEC projects and had visited coal power project in Sahiwal the other day to review pace of the construction work there.
